LID marked its 30th anniversary on Tuesday (18th April) at the fabulous Balthazar Restaurant in Covent Garden. The event brought together more than 80 guests – LID authors, partners, clients and fellow publishers.

Along with LID’s huge milestone, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Dialogue, the leadership journal that LID publishes in partnership with Duke Corporate Education.

Martin Liu, LID’s COO & Publisher, started off the evening with a short speech recognising the great work of LID’s founder and current-day chairman, Marcelino Elosua, who flew from Spain to join the celebration. Martin then thanked all of LID’s authors and partners for their ongoing support in the past years which has been a great catalyst for LID to continue fulfilling its mission of sharing knowledge.

Kevin Duncan, one of LID UK’s first authors, then took to the stage to talk in his usual witty style about his experience working with LID over the past 10 years. Kevin is also LID’s best-selling author.

Ben Walker, LID’s Head of Media, spoke about Dialogue and how it came along and expressed his gratitude to everyone who has worked on the project. He then invited Sharmla Chetty, Duke Corporate Education’s CEO, to the stage. She thanked LID for the close partnership over the past 10 years and the great work Duke and LID have been doing together.

Martin Liu concluded the speeches by announcing that LID launched its new website (www.lidpublishing.com).

The celebrations then continued until late in the evening.
